Carol Meadows

Born December 27, 1953 in Monette, Arkansas to Rev. Lelon Burl and Pansy Eloise (Allsup) Gatlin, she married James C. “Jim” Meadows on December 17, 1983 in Peoria. He died October 9, 2012 in North Pekin. She was also preceded in death by her father and one brother, Lelon Mark Gatlin.

Surviving are one son, Rick (Tina) Huffman of Pekin; one daughter, Chandy (Tyler) Ziegler of Ludowici, Georgia; five grandchildren, Tyler (Olivia) Huffman, Austin (Beth) Huffman, Shaylee Huffman, Colton Ziegler, and Caden Ziegler; four great-grandchildren, Tynlee Huffman, Westin Huffman, Landon Huffman, and Paisley Huffman; her mother, Pansy Gatlin of Creve Coeur; and one sister, Marsha (Scott) Frick of East Peoria.

A homemaker, Cindy had been a barber for 12 years.

Cindy’s greatest joy was spending time with her family. She was of the Baptist faith and was a member of the New Life Riders Christian Motorcycle Association.

Her funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, September 29, 2016 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. The Rev. Rick Kensinger will officiate. Visitation will be one hour before the funeral. Burial will be at Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin.
