She was born May 4, 1937 in Pekin to Clarence and Pearl (Rothisberger) Blandin. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Jerry Blandin.
Surviving are her sister-in-law, Lucille Blandin of Mapleton; two nieces, Michelle (Doug) Barr of Glasford and Denise Eskew of Mapleton; three great nephews; four great nieces; two great-great nephews and five great-great nieces with one on the way.
Carole worked as an LPN at Pekin Hospital for 35 years, retiring in 1998.
She loved spending time with family and friends and was a member of the Farm Bureau.
Carole was a member of Mapleton Church.
Her funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, December 31, 2022 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. Pastor Paul Oedewaldt will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. A private burial will be at Maple Ridge Cemetery in Mapleton.
