

Born August 29, 1942 in Marion County to Hugo Leonard and Opal May (Krutsinger) Wagoner, she married Sherman Brubaker on May 25, 1979 in Peoria. He died April 29, 2011 in Mapleton.
She also was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Clyde Wagoner Russell (Demetra “June”) Wagoner and Darrell (Rebecca “Becky”) Wagoner, all of Iuka, and one great-granddaughter, Harper Louise Darbro.
Surviving are two sons, Richard E. Fisk of Olney and Randall S. (Michelle) Fisk of Peoria; two step-sons, Sherman Brubaker, Jr. of Sparks, Nevada and Bruce C. (Kim) Brubaker of Sikeston, Missouri; one step-daughter, Gayle Morgan of Pekin; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren. Catherine worked for Caterpillar, Inc. for 31 years, last working in computers in East Peoria, retiring in June of 1997.
She was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Pekin, where she enjoyed helping with the nursing home ministry and teaching junior church. She loved the outdoors and enjoyed to mushroom hunt, fish and competing with her husband to see who could catch the most. Catherine was always fond of her family gatherings playing with the grandchildren and playing an intense game of UNO with her husband.
Private Memorial Services will be held at a later date. Cremation has been accorded.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.
