Catherine Elizabeth Garrison

Born July 15, 1964 in Peoria to Carl William and Janet Eileen (Sathoff) Diver, she married Richard Gene Garrison on June 14, 1986 in Pekin. He survives.

Also surviving are two daughters, Elizabeth (Cory) Sharp and Chelsea Garrison, both of Pekin; two step-sons, Richard Garrison, Jr. and Stephen (Lesa) Garrison, both of Indiana; five grandchildren, Benjamin Sharp, Eleanora Sharp, Brock Garrison, Morgan Garrison and Richard Garrison, III; four brothers, Don Schultz of Groveland, Les (Julie) Schultz of Pekin, George Michael Diver of Parker, Colorado and Greg (Carolyn) Jones of Arnold, Missouri; four sisters, Laurie (John) Hill, Carla Hopkins, Margie (Rick) Wagner, all of Pekin and Amanda (Ray) Cantley of Clanton, Alabama and her stepmother, Cheryle Diver of Mason City. She also leaves her father-in-law, Roy Dean of Pekin and two sisters-in-law, Gail (Bud) Miller and Judeena (Ron) Rhoades, both of Pekin.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Jeff Diver; one sister-in-law, Mary Schultz and two brothers-in-law, Bill Hopkins and Terry Garrison.

Cathy will be remembered for her love for travel, live music and gardening. She enjoyed crafts and miniatures. Her passion in life, though, was being a wife, sister, mom and Oma to her grandchildren. She was known for her infectious laugh and never met a stranger.

Her memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, July 5, 2024 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. Visitation will be held one hour before the service. Cremation has been accorded.
