

Born March 19, 1931 in Peoria to James Isaac and Stella Bell (Cole) Beach, he married Marilee J. Babcock on August 4, 1957 in Pekin. She survives.
Also surviving are three sons, Donald C. (Michael) Beach of Belchertown, Massachusetts, Terry L. (Rebecca) Beach of East Peoria and Russell J. Beach of Rockaway Beach, Missouri; five grandchildren, Terry L. Beach, Jr. and Andrew C. Beach, Adeline E. Beach, Nicole Moews and Garet Wade; three great-grandchildren; and one brother, Joe L. (Helen) Beach, Sr. of Pekin.
He was preceded in death by one son, Dennis F. Beach; one great-granddaughter, Lacey Wade and one brother, Harold Beach.
Chuck had worked for the American Distillery Company in security for 32 years, only missing one day of work. He also had worked in maintenance for the Peoria Journal Star.
He was a member of First Christian Church Disciples of Christ in Creve Coeur, where he had served as an elder, deacon and custodian.
Chuck had served in the United States Army during the Korean War.
He was a past member of the International Order of Odd Fellows, and was a life member of both the American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
His funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at First Christian Church in Creve Coeur. Pastor Dwight Winnett will officiate. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday at the Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Creve Coeur. Burial will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin, where military honors will be provided by the United States Army and the Tazewell Area Ceremonial Team.
