

Born March 15, 1924 in South Bend, Indiana to Herbert and Cleo (Ullery) Mylott, Jr.,he married Hazel Perkins on September 30, 1945 in Pekin.
Surviving are his wife; 2 sons, Bob (Elizabeth) Mylott of Phoenix, Arizona and Steven (Christine) Mylott of Mapleton; 1 daughter, Diane (Donald) Nolan of Jacksonville, Florida; 9 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and 1 brother, Bob Mylott of Browns Summit, North Caroline.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and 1 son, Randy Lee Mylott.
D.E. worked for Caterpillar, Inc. for 45 years, retiring as a security systems engineer on April 1, 1990
He served as a Bosens mate second class in the U.S. Navy from 1943-47.
A member of First United Methodist Church in Pekin, he served on the church board of trustees. D.E. designed and engineered the church’s “Silver Doors” addition in 1996.
He had been the Scout Master for Boy Scout Troop 181 in Pekin in the 1950s and 1960s
D.E.’s funeral will be at 2 p.m., Friday, January 2, 2008 at First United Methodist Church in Pekin, where visitation will be from 12:45 to 1:45 p.m. The Rev. Terry C. Edele will officiate. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery in Pekin.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin Chapel.
