Daniel Ray Gullett

Born September 6, 1958 in Paducah, Kentucky to Marvin and Virginia (Belle) Gullett, Jr., he married Helen Sue Crisman on April 3, 1977 in Marquette Heights. She survives.

Also surviving are his mother, Virginia Gullett of Walnut; five sons, Maysen Gullett of Bradford, Isaac Gullett of Chicago and Aamire, Kevin and Bryson Gullett all of Bradford and one sister, Jeanne (Holly) Gullett of Oregon.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Dan was a 1976 graduate of Pekin Community High School and had worked as a supervisor at CMCO in Chillicothe for 25 years, retiring in 2008.

An outdoorsman, Dan enjoyed fishing, boating, camping, hunting, riding four wheelers. Dan was a gifted musician playing the bass guitar in numerous area bands. He also enjoyed antiquing and being active in his children’s sports.

Dan’s greatest joy was spending the last 13 years fostering and giving a stable home to many children.

He attended Northwood’s Community Church in Peoria.

His graveside service will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 7, 2021 at Prairie Haven Cemetery in Pekin. Pastor Linsy Stockham will officiate.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.
