

Born March 13, 1943 in Peoria to Ross and Catherine (Sharp) Hansen, he married Corliss M. "Corky" Bardwell on October 23, 1965 in Peoria. She survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Daniel (Amy) Hansen, Jr. of Pekin and Dennis (Kerrie) Hansen of Morris; one daughter, Stacie Haley of Pekin; eleven grandchildren, Megan Hansen, Katelynne Hansen, Nathan Bennett, Zachary Hansen, Daniell Bennett, Dustin Bennett, Chase Hansen, Chloee Hansen, Mylee Hansen, Cooper Hansen and Luke Haley and one sister, Nancy (Clarence) Noe of Washington.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Judith McClain.
Danny had served in the United States Army from 1962 to 1964.
He worked for PepsiCo for 43 years first as a driver, then as a district manager and last as a special events coordinator. He retired in 2008.
His life was his grandkids sports. He also enjoyed watching NASCAR, the Chicago Cubs and being near his Koi fish pond.
His visitation will be from 3 to 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 24, 2012 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin, where a funeral service will immediately follow. The Rev. Gary L. Ford will officiate. Cremation will be accorded following the service.
