Born August 3, 1958 in Peoria to Robert Lauss and Norma (Hoerr) Noel, he married Shellie Schurman on February 14, 1993 in Pekin. She survives.
Also surviving are his daughter, Caitlyn (Tyler) Hernblom of Manito; and four grandchildren, Hunter, Alex, Zayden and Elle.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He was a member of New Testament Missionary Baptist Church in Pekin.
Dan worked in the Laborers Union Local #231.
He enjoyed mowing and doing yard work. He also hunted raccoons and trained hunting dogs.
Dan’s visitation will be from 10 to 10:30 a.m. Monday, October 27, 2025 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. His service will follow at 10:30 a.m. with Pastor Lee Short officiating. Burial will follow at Kingston Mines Cemetery in Kingston Mines.
