My husband and I knew Dave nearly all our lives and lived just down the street from him. He was a Marquette Heights regular that we saw nearly every day at the Dollar General or walking his dogs. We will miss him and pray for comfort for his family.

David and his family lived in the house across from mine and we had a great childhood together. We kept in touch over the years and always on Facebook. David was always happy and eager to help others. He was a great kid and a wonderful man.

Our congregation will miss Dave. He was always ready to share a corny joke, help with projects, and to share his musical talents. He was concerned for our members, his neighbors, others who needed prayer for health or personal problems. He was always ready to lend a helping hand. His smile lit up the room.

Farewell dear friend. You and your parents are enjoying a blessed reunion.

I used to work at the Dollar General in Marquette Heights. Dave would come in almost every day, always armed with a new corny joke. I always liked when he came in, he always brought a smile to my face!

Most memories come from your visits to Peace Valley when we were young. Thinking of you all.
