Deloris "Jackie" Davis

She was born November 1, 1937 in Hollis Township, Peoria County to Harace and Doris Sutton.

Surviving are one daughter, Teresa (Ron) Buchanan of Pekin; two sons, Charles (Cheryl) Harbeck of Moline and Kenny Grigsby of Dawsonville, Georgia; fourteen grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren and one sister, Frances Chatman of Carlinville.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Deborah D. Summers; one granddaughter, Rachel Grigsby; one grandson, Gregory Salvio and several brothers and sisters.

Jackie retired in 2002 from Mail Tech Enterprises. She previously had worked for Fleming Potter Mail Systems for 15 years as a cutter.

She loved her family and was the glue that held them together. She enjoyed collecting angels, bells, roosters and miniature carrousels. She also enjoyed playing bingo.

Her graveside service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, January 24, 2025 at Lakeside Cemetery in Pekin. Pastor Steve Weber will officiate. Visitation will be held from 3 to 4 p.m. Thursday at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.
