Diana L Towery

She was born August 27, 1951 in Pekin to Russell Ray and Ethel Faye (Montgomery) Hershey. Diana married Herman Towery on March 1, 1974 in Pekin. He died March 14, 2000.

Surviving are 3 daughters, Rachel (Matt) Lohman of Manito. Ronda (Mike) Goodyear of Danville and Kim (Towery) Rice of Pekin; 1 son, Russell (Anna) Towery of Pekin; 11 grandchildren, (Sarah, Jacob, Sean, and Jessica Lohman), (Kourtney, Allissa, and Mikahala Goodyear), (Sky, Storm, and Noah Towery), and Maverick Ivey. 1 brother, James (Lana) Hershey of Mesa, Arizona; 2 sisters Pat (Mike) Earhart of Pekin and Debra (Charles) Hocking of Mt. Carmel; and her companion of the past 12 years, John Gordon.

She was preceded in death by her parents; 2 brothers, Robert and Russell Hershey; and 3 sisters, Charlotte Daniels, Shirley Hershey and Etta Riviere.

Diana was a private home health care provider. She worked for TCRC for several years.

She had attended the First Assembly of God in Pekin.

Diana enjoyed crocheting, computer games, and she loved her 5 Chihuahuas, Miley, Foxie, Boxie, Mickey, and Sandy.

A Celebration of Life Gathering will be from 1 to 5 p.m., Saturday at Fusion, 335 Sabella St. in Pekin. Cremation will be accorded by Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.
