Dianna Sue Vanlaningham-Wright

Our dearest mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother was peacefully carried away to her Heavenly Home to be with Jesus and reunite her with her first husband, George, her daughter Susan, her son, Randy and granddaughter, Ashley.

Born May 25, 1937 in Carbondale, she was the daughter of Everett E. Roberts and Ada M. (Allen) Roberts. She married George VanLaningham on July 15, 1955. He died July 30, 2009. She later married Michael E. Wright on March 23, 2013. He survives.

Also surviving are two daughters; Vicki (Mike Dietrich) VanLaningham and Cheryl (David) Reed, both of Gillett, Wisconsin; one son; George S. VanLaningham of Gillett, Wisconsin and one son-in-law John McCloud of Indiana, nine grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

Diana worked at K-Mart in Pekin for 38 years, retiring in 2008.

She was devoted to the Lord and her family. She enjoyed reading her Bible, traveling when possible and spending time with friends.

Diana was a former member of Richwoods Christian Church in Pekin.

Her funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, July 29, 2023 at Preston Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. Pastor Ed Ross will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin.
