Donald G Crawford

He was born February 25, 1951 in Herrin to Thomas Weldon and Noreen Helen (Otterson) Crawford. Surviving are his mother of Pekin; one brother, Larry (Gloria) Crawford of Pekin; two nephews, Jesse Crawford and Jason (Shannon) Crawford, both of Pekin; one grand nephew, Cameron and two grandnieces, Elizabeth and Lillian.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents; father and one brother, Mark Crawford.

Don served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War and received the Vietnam Service Medal and the National Defense Service Medal. He retired from Caterpillar, Inc. after 35 years of service as an assembler.  He was a member of United Auto Workers Local 974 in East Peoria.

He attended First Assembly of God in Pekin.  He was a music lover.

His memorial service will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday, February 8, 2011 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.  The Rev. David A. Carrington will officiate.  Visitation will be held one hour before the service.  Cremation will be accorded.  Private burial will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin.
