Donald E. "Don" Schaible

He was born July 29, 1949 in Peoria to Francis and Marie (Craps) Schaible. He married Deborah Hills July 6, 1974 in Pekin. She survives along with two sons: Dyson Schaible of Nashville, TN, Derrick Schaible of Manito; and one granddaughter, Rachel Schaible of Manito.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters: Karen Dike and Marsha Schaible; and daughter-in-law, Andrea Schaible.

Don was a United States Army Veteran serving in the Vietnam War. He was stationed at Fort Bragg for 8 years while with the Army.

He worked for Keystone Steel and Wire for 28 years retiring in 2006.

He was a Lifetime member and past President of the Peoria Sportsmen Club and was a member of the Bartonville American Legion Post 979 and Ducks Unlimited Manito Chapter.

Cremation rites have been accorded. A memorial visitation will be Wednesday, November 30, 2016 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the Davison-Fulton Woolsey Funeral Home in Pekin. A celebration of Don’s life will follow the visitation at 6:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Rev. Larry "Butch" Bishop will officiate.

Burial will be at Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin at a later date.
