Doris J Patterson

Born June 21, 1935 in Chester Co., TN to Leonard and Ovie (Spencer) Hemby, she married Charles C. Patterson on August 11, 1951 in Corinith, MS. He survives.

Also surviving are one son, Nick Patterson of Pekin; one daughter, Donna McAllister of Pekin; three grandchildren, Michael Patterson of Florida, Heather (Daniel) Krahn of Pekin and Jeffrey (Dara) McAllister of Morton; one great-grandchild, Khaleesi and one brother, Leonard “Jerry” Hemby, Jr. of Henderson, TN.

She was preceded in death by one daughter, Marcia Logue and one infant sister, Peggy Hemby.

A homemaker, Doris enjoyed flower gardening and her pets. Spending time with her great-granddaughter meant the world to her.

Her graveside funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin. Pastor Johnny Creasong will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.
