Dorothy Lee Bastien

Born on August 19, 1924 in Mason City to Ray and Jennie (Taylor) Willock, she married Lloyd F. Bastien on October 29, 1945. He died May 24, 1993. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Cindi Jo Flannery; one brother, Dean Willock and one sister-in-law, Mary Jane Willock.

Surviving are two daughters, Kathy (Mark) Kostelny of Downers Grove and Debi (Stan) Parker of Topeka, Kansas; seven grandchildren, Brock (Carol) Kostelny, Ben (Lauren) Kostelny, Jenna Parker, Mark (Andrea) Kostelny, Hobie (Paige) Parker, Katherine (Bryan) Bart and Michael Flannery; seven great-grandchildren and one on the way and three nieces.

Dorothy was a case coordinator for the State of Illinois for over 25 years, retiring in 1992.

She was a member of the barber shop group, The Hearts, in Peoria for over 30 years. Dorothy loved dancing, playing cards and spending time with her family and friends.

A gathering celebrating Dorothy’s life will be held at a later date. Cremation has been accorded by Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Creve Coeur.
