

PEKIN ~ Dorothy L. "Dot" Elliott, 65, of 1214 Black Street passed away at 9:09 p.m. Monday, November 28, 2005 at the Pekin Hospital Emergency Room. Born April 17, 1940 in Frankfort, Ind. to Frank and Evelyn (Brumbarger) Camp, she married Arthur Raymond Elliott on January 20, 1960 in Pekin. He survives. Also surviving are three sons, Bruce E. (Cathi) Elliott of Morton, Bryan T. (Sandra) Elliott and Bradd C. (Gidget) Elliott, both of Pekin; one daughter, Carla J. Elliott of Pekin; eleven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one brother, Gerald (Sue) Camp of Lebanon, Ind.; two sisters, Mary (Jim) Kaylor of Frankfort, Indiana and Della (Don) Veerman of Pekin. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and three sisters. Dot worked for the American Distilling Company in Pekin on the bottling line prior to her marriage. She also had worked as a nurse's aide at Pekin Hospital and for area nursing homes. She was a member of the Women of the Moose #673 in Pekin. She also was a longtime associate ladies advisor for Pekin Police Explorer Post #400. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Pekin. Dot enjoyed bowling, camping and crocheting. Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday, December 2, 2005at Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin Chapel. Chaplain Ronald E. Little will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, December 1, 2005at the funeral home. Burial will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a memorial fund for her grandchildren.
