

Earl E. Bonnette, 96, of Pekin, Illinois, died Tuesday, February 17, 2015 at the Pekin Manor Care in Pekin, Illinois. He was born on August 26, 1918 in Pekin, Illinois to Fred and Kathryn (Kramer) Bonnette. He first married Mary Cheney on June 25, 1938 and she preceded him in death on October 15, 1994. He later married Virginia Minar on August 29,1998 and she preceded him in death on September 5, 2012. He was also preceded in death by one son, Gerald Bonnette and five brothers and one sister.
He is survived by one daughter-in-law, Sharon Bonnette of Pekin, Illinois; two stepsons, Gary (Carolyn) Minar of Milledgeville, Georgia and George “Ed” (Lunette) Minar of Lawrenceville, Georgia; two grandsons, Michael and Terry Bonnette; four step grandchildren, Lisa Lewis, Gary Minar II, Shelly Pope and Rusty Minar. Earl has two brothers surviving,Harold Bonnette of Pekin, Illinois and Roy Bonnette of Quincy, Illinois. He also has several nieces and nephews surviving.
Earl worked 40 years at Corn Products in Pekin, retiring in 1980. He was a WWII Navy veteran. He was a former member of the Eagles and Moose Lodges in Pekin and a life member of the AMVETS.
Funeral services will be Friday, February 20, 2015 at 11:00 AM at the Davison-Fulton Woolsey Funeral Home in Pekin, Illinois. The Rev. David Lynn will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to services on Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Glendale Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Midwest Affiliate.
