Edward C Story

Born September 22, 1932 in rural Thebes to Edgar and Bertha (Jackson) Story, he married Jessie Eilene Baugher on July 26, 1952 in Union City, TN. She died September 23, 2014 in Pekin. He was also preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Fredia Stigall; and one brother, Bill Story.

Surviving are one son, David (Kay) Story of Marquette Heights; three grandchildren, Kim (Tim) Barr of Green Valley, Amber (Brad) Fisher and Brad (Karen) Story, both of Pekin; four great-grandchildren, Skyler Story, Shane Barr, Kaiden Story and Kolton Story; two brothers, Sam (Bonnie) Story of Cahokia and Jack (Nancy) Story of Mesa, Arizona; and several nieces and nephews.

Ed had worked at Illini Welding in Pekin for 18 years and later for Capitol Plumbing and Heating in East Peoria as a warehouseman. He last worked for Ron Webb Truck Repair in North Pekin.

He was member of Teamsters Local #627 in Peoria and was a former member of Wilmor Sportsman’s Club in rural Morton.

Ed enjoyed hunting and was a fan of NASCAR and the St. Louis Cardinal’s.

His funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, December 1, 2015 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. The Rev. W. Lloyd Brock will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin.
