Ella M Connor

Born November 6, 1933 in Anniston, Alabama to Simon and Ethel (Langley) Pierce, she married Clyde D. “Pat” Connor on May 19, 1951 in Rome, Georgia.  He died July 11, 2004 in Peoria.

She also was preceded in death by her parents, three grandchildren, five brothers, and four sisters.

Surviving are two daughters, Sharon (Steven) Camp and Donna (Roger) Allen, both of Creve Coeur; three sons, Jerry (Dr. Zayna) Connor of Trivoli, Marsh Steve Connor of Washington, and Randy W. Connor of Creve Coeur; ten grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; one brother, Jerry (Jane) Pierce of Anniston, Alabama; and two sisters, Wanda (Chuck) Graf of Mt. Pleasant, Texas and Judy Tate Hubbard of Anniston, Alabama.

A homemaker, Ella also worked as a fry cook for many years in area restaurants.

She loved to spending time in her garden.  She especially loved growing flowers and tomatoes.  She cherished her grandchildren.

She was a member of the Creve Coeur Christian Church.

Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday, August 15, 2008 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Creve Coeur Chapel.  The Rev. John Plunkett will officiate.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.  Burial will be in Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria.
