Elsie Hall

Born December 9, 1929 in Ruble, MO to George Thomas and Nellie (Gilmer) Sutton, she married Charles D. Hall on April 17, 1948 in Harrison, AR. He died June 25, 2002 in Morton. She was also preceded in death by her parents; one son, Howard Hall; one granddaughter, Chrissy Hall; three brothers and one sister.

Surviving are two sons, Gary (Betty) Hall of Peoria and Charles (Diane) Hall of East Peoria; four daughters, Carol (Terry) Dickson of Lewistown, June (Jerry) Gould of Wynett, OK, Cheryl Shaver of Creve Coeur and Brenda Auer of Washington; 13 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and daughter-in-law, Marilyn Hall.

A homemaker early in her life, Elsie had worked at Steak ‘n Shake in Pekin and primarily in East Peoria. She later worked as a CNA at Apostolic Christian Restmor in Morton.

Elsie enjoyed playing Bingo, the lottery and going out to eat. She was also an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan and a lifelong Democrat.

Her funeral will beat 11 a.m. Saturday, January 20, 2018at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Creve Coeur. Pastor John Plunkett will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be at Lutheran Cemetery in Peoria.
