Eric D Faichney

Born April 17, 1961 in Pekin to Ronald William and Barbara Anne (Tucker) Faichney, he married Laura Jean Cornelison on November 20, 1982 in Pekin. He later married M. Yvonne Hony on January 7, 2006 in Manito. She survives.

Also surviving are his mother of Pekin; his father and step-mother, Ron and Shirley Faichney of Pekin; two daughters, Ashley M. Faichney of Peoria and Heather J. Faichney of Pekin; one son, Lief Eric Faichney of Bartonville; two step-sons, Jonathan J. Hony and Daryn N. Hony, both of Pekin and one sister, Jill M. (Eldon) Pulfer of Green Valley. He also leaves his 91-year old paternal grandmother, Marjorie Faichney of North Pekin.

He was preceded in death by one sister, Rena Marie Faichney.

Eric worked as a machine operator for the Union Pacific Railroad (formerly the Chicago & Northwestern) for 22 years, last working on June 6th.

He was a fan of NASCAR and a motorcycle enthusiast. He loved dogs and raised Alaskan Malamuts.

Eric was a member of the Community United Methodist Church in Manito.

His memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, September 2, 2006at Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin Chapel. The Rev. David L. Phillips will officiate. Visitation will be from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial of cremains will follow services in Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin.
