

Born January 1, 1925 in Havana to William G. and Grace (Turnpaugh) Hoyle, she married Robert Glen Hoffman on April 21, 1946 in Tremont. He died June 21, 1993 in Pekin. She also was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Nancy Scobee; three sisters and three brothers.
Surviving are one daughter, Bonnie Sea of Pekin; three grandchildren, Dennie Sea of Tinley Park, Dannie Sea of Marquette Heights and Jeanetta (Tony) Chears of Smithfield, North Carolina; two great-grandchildren, Viola Chears and Austin Chears; four sisters, Shirley (Bill) Scamp, Helen Jones, Lois Brown, all of Pekin and Rosie (Don) Cohenour of Creve Coeur and one brother, Bud (Marge) Hoyle of Pekin.
She was a homemaker.
Etta's favorite pastime was going to Andy's Diner to visit with her friends.
Her funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, October 21, 2008at Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin Chapel. The Rev. Judy Doyle will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, October 20, 2008at the funeral home. Burial will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin.
