Garnet Scott

She was born on July 9, 1930 in Peoria, Illinois to Garnet and Martha (Heimer) Palmer. She married Paul W. Scott on October 12, 1946 in Peoria. He preceded her in death on December 28, 1990. Her parents and two sisters also preceded her in death.

Surviving are her children, Frankie (Jim) Johnson of Cuba, Paula (Steve) Lance of Pekin, Bill Scott and Rick (Debra) Scott both of Mapleton and Debbie (Bill) Turner of Stoutsville, MO. Also surviving are fourteen grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren and two sisters, Anna May (Howard) Wissel of Glasford and Sharon (Jim) Rose of Henderson, NV.

Garnet was a loving mother wholoved spending time with all of her grandchildren. She enjoyed going to thrift stores and bingo with her sister Anna May and visiting her other sister Sharon in Nevada.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, April 26, 2013 at noon at Maple Ridge Cemetery in Mapleton. Davison-Fulton Woolsey Funeral Home in Pekin is in charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be made at davisonfultonwoolsey.com
