Gerald G Reeves

Born September 5, 1934 in Pekin to Dorsey and Georgiann (Lee) Reeves. He married JoAnn Funk on June 6, 2008. She preceded him in death on September 22, 2014 in Pekin. He was also preceded by his parents.

Surviving are one daughter, Terri Reeves of Brimfield; one son, Christopher (Vicki) Reeves of The Colony, TX; two step-daughters, Kristine (Robin) Cupi and Cheryl (Allen Spencer)Hill, both of Pekin; four grandchildren, Dayton and Delanie Sollenberger, Megan and Mollie Reeves and four step grandsons, Blain and Mitchell Hill, Parker and Logan Cupi.

Jerry had served in the United States Army.

He worked for Hoyle Transportation as a school bus driver for the City of Pekin, last working May of 2014 due to his health. He had previously worked for Brimfield School District 309 in Maintenance and then as a school bus driver from 1991 – 2007.

Jerry had been a member of American Legion Post 452 in Brimfield.

A loving and devoted grandfather, he loved driving a school bus and his kids on the bus. He also enjoyed playing cards.

His funeral service will be Friday, January 2, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery in Pekin.
