Gloria A Green

Born April 11, 1934 in Kampsville to Arthur and Frances (Nord) Gerecke, she married John Green. He preceded her in death along with her parents, one brother (Harvey Gerecke), and one sister (Ina Gerecke).

Surviving are one brother, Herbert L. (Sharon) Gerecke of Mokena; one sister-in-law, Mary Gerecke of Pekin; and many nieces and nephews.

A homemaker, Gloria was nurse in Chicago prior to her marriage.

She was a member of Saint John's Lutheran Church in Pekin, and it's Bethlehem Society. She also was a member of the Peoria Orchid Society, Peoria Area Miniature Society, and a lifetime member of the Art Institute of Chicago.

Gloria had a passion for orchids, museums, art, miniatures, and was an animal lover, especially of dogs.

Her funeral will be at noon Friday,December 28, 2007at the Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin Chapel, where visitation will be 30 minutes before the funeral. The Rev. Mark A. Miller will officiate. Cremation will be accorded following the funeral.
