

Jack Mandrell, 88, of Pekin, Illinois, passed away Sunday, September 18, 2016 at the OSF St. Francis Hospital in Peoria, Illinois. He was born on September 14, 1928 in Benton, Illinois to Leslie and Bonnie (Eldridge) Mandrell. He married Mary L. West on August 14, 1948 in Benton, Illinois. She survives. He is also survived by five children; Stanley (Judith) Mandrell of Pekin, Vickie S. (David) Masters of Oak Run, Illinois, Cary (Megan) Mandrell of East Peoria, Sheila (Bill) Farris and Sonia (Kenny) Jones both of Pekin. He has 10 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and one great great grandson and one brother, Curtis Mandrell of Benton, Illinois. He is preceded in death by his twin brother, Gene and one infant brother, Dwight.
Jack worked as a millwright for over 25 years at Caterpillar Inc. He was an U.S. Army Veteran. He was an avid Cardinal fan, loved watching boxing and other sports in his spare time. He was a master carpenter. Jack was a member of the Church of Christ of Pekin.
Visitation will be Wednesday, September 21, 2016 from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the Davison Fulton Woolsey Funeral Home in Pekin. Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM Thursday, September 22, 2016 at the Davison Fulton Woolsey Funeral Home in Pekin. The Rev. Paul Thomas and Rev. Roger Lipe will officiate.
