

Born Dec. 17, 1967 in Pekin to James and Darlene (Storck) Lawrence, he was a life long patient of Dr. William Albers, pediatric cardiologist.
Surviving are his parents of Groveland; grandmothers, Ruth Storck of Morton and Bonnie Lawrence of Ft. Walton Beach, Fla.; 1 sister, Lucinda “Cindy” Carr of Pekin; 2 nephews, Anthony “A.J.”Carr and Jacob Carr, both of Pekin; several aunts and uncles; and his best friend of 23 years, Victoria Milligan.
He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Phillip Storck and James Lawrence.
He was a 1986 graduate of Morton High School.
Jimmy worked as a card swiper for Eurest Dining Services at Bradley University for over 10 years, last working Dec. 10, 2009. Previously, he had worked at the Peppermill Restaurant in Morton.
He attended Groveland Missionary Church.
Jimmy enjoyed spending lots of time with his nephews, collecting Hot Wheels and Match Box cars, collecting movies, playing games on his computer, especially POGO, and listening to all kinds of music, especially AC/DC.
He was a member of H.E.R.E. Union Local #16 in Peoria.
His funeral will be at 10 a.m., Thursday, January 21, 2010 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin chapel. Rev. Gary Ford will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m., Wednesday, January 20, 2010. Burial will be in Groveland Mennonite Cemetery.
