Born October 10, 1939 in Peoria to Kenneth and Opal (Glasford) Whitlow, she married Clyde Oedewaldt on August 29, 1958 in Pekin. He survives.
Also surviving are one son, Darren (Sue) Oedewaldt; three grandchildren, Jennifer Reed, Ericka (Aaron) Fannon and Taylor (Maggie) Oedewaldt; six great-grandchildren, James Reed, Mitchell Reed, Jack Reed, Carsen Fannon, Summer Oedewaldt and Phoebe Oedewaldt; her sister-in-laws, Ella Mae Woolcock and Wanda Oedewaldt and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Jerry Whitlow.
Janet enjoyed solving cross word puzzles, bird watching. She never missed her morning McDonald’s coffee and McGriddle or watching Wheel of Fortune.
Cremation has been accorded by Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. There will be no services. Inurnment will be at Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin at a later date.
