Janet L Pyatt

Born December 5, 1948 in Pekin to Albert O. and Irene (Paul) Nelan, she married Donald Ray Pyatt, Sr. on February 7, 1976 in Pekin. He died March 24, 2007 in Greenview. She also was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Julie Irene Hawkins; and two brothers, Tommy and Danny Nelan.

Surviving are one grandson, Donald Ray Hawkins of Pekin; one great-grandson, Aiden Laws of Pekin; one brother, Steve Olsen of Pekin; and several nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind her two special dogs, Butch and Gizmo.

Janet had worked for Busy Corner for many years as a cook and waitress. She also helped with catering.

She enjoyed camping and traveling to Texas for the winters with her husband in their motor home.

Her funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday, November 23, 2012 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. Pastor Greg Shambo will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral. Cremation rites will be accorded following services.
