Janet E Watkins

Born February 20, 1955 in Canton to Ralph and Dorothy (Downing) Northrup, she married William R. Watkins on July 14, 1973 in Glasford. He survives.

Also surviving are her parents of Trivoli; one daughter, Tiffany (Nate) Blasa of Mt. Vernon; one brother, Danny (Sharon) Northrup of Trivoli; and one nephew, Dustin (Tiffany) Northrup of Peoria.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Rolin Northrup.

Janet and her husband have owned and operated Watkins Photography in Glasford for the past 33 years and the Glasford Gazette since 1993.

She was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Glasford.

Janet enjoyed traveling, quilting, and sewing.

Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday, January 18, 2008at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Glasford. The Rev. John Schurter will officiate. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday and from 10 to 10:45 a.m. Friday, both at the church. Burial will be in St. Peter's Lutheran Church Cemetery in Glasford.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin Chapel.
