

Born December 26, 1936 in Washington, D.C. to Robert Carl and Ilene Libertybell (Rumler) Selby, she married James R. Morris, Sr. in July 1966 in Pekin. He preceded her in death in 1992. She also was preceded in death by one son, William Carl Barnes; one brother, Randy Selby; and one sister, Joyce Pherigo.
Surviving are one son, Kenneth (Brenda) Barnes of Arcadia, Florida; two daughters, Elizabeth I. Cooper of Blaine, Washington and Janice K. Barnes of Manito; one step-son, James R. (Nancy) Morris, Jr. of Forest City; one step-daughter, Alice L. Morris of Forest City; 18 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Joann (Earnest) Golden of Las Vegas, Nevada, Edith (Stan) Budyn of Goofy Ridge and Nancy Patterson of Cape Girardeau, Missouri; and three brothers, Robert (Lona) Selby of Brimfield, Ronald Selby of Peoria and Kenneth (Pat) Selby of Godfrey.
Janice was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
A homemaker, Janice enjoyed babysitting and had a lot of little kids she got attached to over the years.
Her hobbies included crocheting, reading and doing genealogy.
Her graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, August 18, 2018 at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Forest City. Bishop Dave Dille will officiate. There will be no visitation. Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin is in charge of arrangements.
