

Born August 7, 1969 in Peoria to Duane Edward and Erena (Krukoff) McLaughlin, he married Nancy Jane Spencer on May 11, 1996 at the Glen Oak Botanical Gardens in Peoria. She survives.
Also surviving are his father of Pekin; his mother of Alaska; one brother, Brian McLaughlin of South Pekin; two step-brothers, Chad (Teresa) Pfanz of South Pekin and Darrin Pfanz of Pekin; two step-sisters, Brandie Pfanz and Rhonda (Robert) Ghidina, both of Pekin; and nieces, nephews and cousins. He will also be missed by Holly, his Siberian Huskey.
He was a United States Air Force veteran.
Jason was a truck driver and worked for Marlin Transport in Florida for many years. Jason and Nancy lived in Ft. Lauderdale for more than 20 years.
He loved watching football and was a huge fan of the Miami Dolphins. Jason always enjoyed tailgating at games in Miami. He also enjoyed fishing.
Jason was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
His graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Friday, September 29, 2023 at Camp Butler National Cemetery in Springfield. Bishop J.O. Hutson will officiate. Military rites will be accorded by the United States Air Force and the Interveterans Burial Detail of Sangamon County. There will be no visitation. Cremation has been accorded by Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.
