Jerad M Traylor

He was born February 2, 1986 in Peoria to Jeral R. and Lisa M. (Keith) Traylor.

Surviving are his mother, Lisa Parrish of Pekin; his father and stepmother, Jeral and Kimberly Traylor of East Peoria; three children, Laney Rhey Traylor, Jaksyn Joseph Traylor and Lakynn Marie Traylor; his best friend and mother of his children, Laura Ball of Pekin; two sisters, Jayce Marie Parrish of Pekin and Jesica Fair Parrish of Pekin; paternal grandmother, Marylou Traylor of Morton; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Jerad had worked construction out of Laborer’s Local #231 in Pekin.

A true outdoorsman, Jerad loved kayaking, mud bogging, fishing and hiking. Jerad also loved cooking, eating and listening to music.

He was a devoted father and loved his children.

His funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday, September 1, 2017 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. prior to the funeral on Friday. Burial will be in Prairie Haven Cemetery in Pekin.

Memorial contributions may be given to the family to help defray funeral expenses in care of the funeral home, 500 North 4th Street, Pekin, IL 61554.
