CREVE COEUR ~ Joan Elaine King, 68, of Creve Coeur, passed away at 4:45 p.m. Thursday, February 13, 2014 at Kindred Hospital in Peoria.
Born May 19, 1945 in Cobden to Rev. Claude E. and Dorothy (Gibson) Craig, she married Curtis Eugene "Curt" King on March 9, 1963 in Creve Coeur. He died March 22, 2008 in Peoria. She also was preceded in death by her father.
Surviving are her mother of Morton; one son, Curtis J. (Lori) King of Morton; two grandchildren, Craig D. King and Courtney N. King, both of Morton; one brother, Earnest Craig of Long View, Washington; and two sisters, Marilyn (Steve) Crisler of Washington and Jeanie (Dan) Farmer of Morton.
Joan was a member of the Creve Coeur Southern Baptist Church.
Her graveside funeral service will be at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, February 18, 2014 at Spring Bay Cemetery. Pastor Eric Dupree will officiate. Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Creve Coeur is in charge of arrangements.
