Born July 5, 1950 in Amsterdam, Netherlands to Fritz and Geertruida (Roermer) te Nuyl, he married Kristina Krupaviciene on September 1, 2009 in Phoenix, Arizona. She survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Matthew te Nuyl and Marshall te Nuyl, both of Pekin; six sisters; and five brothers, including Henk te Nuyl of Amsterdam and Jerry te Nuyl of Phoenix, Arizona.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, and brother.
Johan worked at Midwest Generation in Pekin for over 25 years, last working in maintenance.
He attended New Life Fellowship in Pekin and Saints Peter and Paul Church in Lithuania.
Johan was a very giving person and had a gentile spirit.
His visitation will be from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Friday, April 20, 2012 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. Services will be at a later date in Lithuania.
