Joyce Elaine Hamilton-Eggemeyer

Born December 5, 1930 in East Peoria to Irving and Lydia (Sterns) Arnett, she married Edward R. Hamilton in 1948 in East Peoria.  He died in 1990 in Creve Coeur.  She later married Delbert Eggemeyer on July 24, 1999 in Creve Coeur.  He died March 22, 2011 in Peoria.  She is also preceded in death by her parents; one son, Allen Hamilton; and one brother, Bob Arnett.

Surviving are two sons, Darin (Shari) Hamilton and Dan (Stephanie) Hamilton, both of Creve Coeur; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; one brother, Paul (Eula) Arnett of East Peoria; two sisters, Margie Guidi of Farmington and Karen (Earl) Lee of North Carolina; and one sister-in-law, Vi Arnett of Florida.  She also leaves one step-son, Dennis L. (Sharon) Eggemeyer of Marquette Heights, one step-daughter, Diana (Edgar) Henry of Pekin, and three step-grandchildren.

Joyce was a member of Creve Coeur Christian Church.

She had enjoyed fishing.

Her memorial service will be at 3 p.m. Friday, July 20, 2012 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Creve Coeur.  The Rev. John E. Plunkett will officiate.  The family will receive friends one hour before the memorial service at the funeral home.
