She was born June 3, 1950 in Christopher to Norman Lee and Anna (Beames) Rumsey. Her parents preceded her in death as well as one brother, Donald Gene Rumsey.
Surviving are one daughter, Montenique Counterman of Pekin; two grandchildren, Lincoln Counterman and Mercedes Counterman of Pekin; one sister, Suzanne (Don) Loudermilk of Pekin; one brother, Wayne Rumsey of Indiana; two nieces, Amanda (Lilli) Green of Champaign and Amanda Rose Rumsey of Indiana and one nephew, Chad (Heather) Rumsey of Indiana.
She was a dedicated homemaker throughout her life. She loved traveling with her family, especially to Florida and Mexico. Among her other interests and hobbies were listening to music, spending time in the sun, relaxing in the pool, and visiting the ocean.
There are no scheduled services at this time. Cremation has been entrusted to Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.
