Born on October 24, 1989 in Bloomington, she was a daughter of Ty and Diane (Bernhardt) Heberer.
Kayla is survived by her parents, Ty and Diane Heberer of Delavan; two daughters, Zoe and Emma Minton; and two brothers, Andy (Katie) Heberer of Pekin and Kyndal Heberer of Manito.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents.
Kayla attended Pekin First Church of God. She loved animals, especially her dogs and cats. Kayla enjoyed being at the beach and watching the dolphins.
There will be a gathering celebrating Kayla's life at a later date.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.
