Larry Patterson Sr.

Born November 17, 1942 in Peoria to James George Patterson and Carrie Elizabeth (Reeves-Redding), he married Lottie C. Glass, on March 18, 1961 in Peoria.

Surviving are one son, Larry (Karen) Patterson of Pekin; three daughters, Christy Patterson of Pekin, Stacy (Greg) Woods of Pekin and Stephanie Patterson of Pekin; two grandchildren, Andrew (Marianne) Miles of New York and Brody Woods of Pekin and one brother, Dennis (Rosemary) Patterson of Marquette Heights.

He was preceded in death by his wife, parents; step-father, Henry Redding one sister, Lynn Meskimen and one brother, Michael Patterson, Sr.

Larry served in the United States National Guard.

Larry worked as a courier delivery driver for 22 years retiring in 2012.

He enjoyed spending time with his family, his 45 records, playing cards, especially pinochle, and playing ball for 35 years.

He was a member of the Pekin North Congregation of Jehovah Witnesses.

His memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 13, 2021 at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Pekin. Elder Dan Allen will officiate. There will be no visitation.

Cremation rites have been accorded by Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Pekin North Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 2726 Broadway Road, Pekin, Illinois 61554.
