Born August 29, 1928 in Skiatook, Oklahoma to William Roscoe and Audrey Katherine (McMasters) Murphy, she married Norman Harding with whom she had two children.
Surviving are one daughter, Melanie (Tony) Anderson of Peoria; one son, David Harding of Pekin; two grandchildren, Kate (David) Zaluski of Barrington, Rhode Island and Timothy Anderson of Peoria; three great-grandsons, Ryan, Alex, Jake Zaluski; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, and special friend, George Spencer.
Laura worked for Illinois Central College for 20 years and was the Personnel Assistant at the time of her retirement in 1989.
She was very active with church activities. She was an avid reader, bowler, and bridge player. She had a heart for helping others and will be missed by all who knew her.
Her burial will be held at Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria at a later date.
