

Born February 15, 1919 in Tuscarora to Felix and Catherine (Patuski) Marion, he married Mary Ann Petty on August 23, 1969 in Chicago.
Surviving are his wife; 4 children, Donald (Geri) Marion of Princeton, Sarah Ann Marion of East Peoria, William (Judy) Marion of Pekin and Leo F. Marion of Quincy; grandchildren, including Renee and Ryan Marion; and other grandchildren, great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by 4 brothers and 3 sisters.
Leo worked for Standard Brands in Pekin for 25 years and then worked for Caterpillar, Inc. for 15 years, retiring in 1987 as a janitor in Building KK in East Peoria.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II, earning 2 bronze stars.
Leo enjoyed fishing, gardening, playing cards, and spending time with his family. He was also a big fan of the Chicago Cubs and Chicago Bears.
His funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, June 10, 2011 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in rural Green Valley. The Rev. Thomas R. Wenndt will officiate. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin.
