LeRoy A Graham

PEKIN ~ LeRoy A. Graham, 81 of Pekin, passed away at 3:45 p.m. Monday, November 28, 2011 at his home.

Born February 24, 1930 in Brookings, South Dakota to Guy and Nellie (Louis) Graham, he married Patricia Ann Stromland on May 8, 1954 in Park Rapids, MN.  She preceded him in death on October 30, 2010 in Pekin.

Also preceding him in death were his parents; one son, Duane Scott Graham; two brothers and two sisters.

Surviving are two daughters, Pamela Horn and Carla McCallum, both of Pekin; two sons, Lionel Graham of Pekin and Terry (Jan) Graham of Bartonville; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and one brother, Don (Barb) Graham of Hayward, WI.  He also leaves his faithful companion Buddy.

He was a veteran of the United States Air Force.

LeRoy was a service technician for Sears for many years, retiring in 1985.

He was a member of the Pekin Moose Family Center #916, the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #105 in Pekin and George M. Maple Memorial AMVETS Post 235 in Pekin.  LeRoy was an avid bowler who had bowled in many leagues over the years.  He had bowled a 300 game several times in his life.  He was also a lifelong golfer and a huge Chicago Cubs fan.  He also enjoyed traveling with his wife. LeRoy was a very talented man who was very good with his hands and could fix anything.  He enjoyed helping his children with their home improvements.  He also enjoyed vegetable gardening and bragging about his tomatoes to his family.

His funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, December 2, 2011 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.  The Rev. Dwight Winnett will officiate.  Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.  Burial will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin.  Military honors will be provided by the Military Funeral Honors Team and Tazewell Area Ceremonial Team.
