

Born November 22, 1925 in Pekin to Elmer and Freda M. “Liescheidt) Harms, she married James Willard Nash on June 15, 1947 in Pekin. He passed away on May 1, 2011 in Pekin. She also was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, James Harms and one sister, Bernice Allenspach.
Surviving are four sons, David Alan (Linda) Nash, Donald Wayne Nash, Douglas James (Glenda) Nash and Richard Louis (Julie) Nash, all of Pekin; two grandchildren, Jenny (Scot) Johannes and Christopher (Alicia) Nash, both of Morton; five great-grandchildren, Jessalyn, Brennan and Vanessa Bjorling and Kaelyn and Liam Nash; and three step great-grandchildren, Kelly (John) Norris of Zanesville, Ohio, Heather Johannes and Hillary Johannes, both of Morton.
Lois was a charter member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Pekin, where she was a member of the Concordia Society and helped serve funeral meals. She also was a former Sunday School teacher and church choir member.
Lois was a member of the very first Girl Scout Troop in Pekin.
She cherished time spent with her grandchildren.
She worked as a secretary for Lincoln Service for 15 years and also for Pekin Insurance for 12 years, retiring in 1988.
Lois loved playing the piano and crocheting.
Her funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, August 20, 2015at Trinity Lutheran Church in Pekin. Rev. Dr. Rodger P. Abatie will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. Additional visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday. Burial will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin.
