

Born December 16, 1921 in Sangamon County to Lester W. and Bonnie M. (Nixon) Sagle, she married Glen Joseph Cofer. He died on February 25, 1996 in Pekin. She also was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Gary C. Cofer on March 17, 2009 in East Peoria and two brothers, Albert Sagle and Earl Sagle.
Surviving are one daughter, Sharon (Larry) Moreland of Pekin; four grandchildren, Jodi Cofer Cestroni of the State of Washington, Bret Cofer of New York, Rodney Hilst and Rickey “Rick” (Tammy) Hilst, both of Pekin; eight great-grandchildren, Kylee (Chris) Begley, Devin Cofer, Inayah Cofer, Tristan Cofer, Rianna Cofer, Brandon Hilst, Bryce Hilst, Brady Hilst; one great-great-granddaughter, Molly Begley; four step-greatgrandchildren and five step-great-great-grandchildren.
Lois was employed by the State of Illinois for 28 years, retiring in 1982.
She was a 70-year member of Flower City Chapter 152, Order of the Eastern Star in Springfield.
Lois also was a faithful and longtime member of Grace United Methodist Church in Pekin, where she was a member of the United Methodist Women and Friendship Club.
Her graveside funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, March 27, 2017 at Roselawn Cemetery in Springfield. Pastor Pam Cochran will officiate. There will be no visitation per her wishes. Arrangements have been entrusted to Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Grace United Methodist Church, 601 North 4th Street, Pekin, IL 61554.
