Lois Jean Hedrick

Born June 18, 1944 in Pekin to Severn Losson and Marie Anna (Welch) Smallwood, she married Larry Allan Hedrick on March 20, 1965 in Peoria Illinois. He died June 7, 1998 in Pekin. She was also preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Mary Sheets, Cleta Blackstock and Anna Logan and one brother, Ray Smallwood.

Surviving are two sons, Michael (Susan) Hedrick of Fall City, Washington and Christopher Hedrick of Littleton, Colorado; four grandchildren, Emily (Joey), Jeff, Thomas and Kaley Hedrick; one sister, Nancy (Lester) Rosiere of Pekin and two brothers, Roger (Marcia) Smallwood of Glasford, and Daniel (Vonnie) Smallwood of Junction City, Kentucky.

Lois worked in the office at American Abstract & Title Company in Pekin for 31 years before retiring in 2006.

An avid bowler, Lois bowled in several area leagues that traveled as far as Lake Tahoe. She also enjoyed being outdoors and gardening.

Her graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Monday, August 1, 2022 at Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin.

Bishop David Dille will officiate. A celebration of life will follow at the Pekin Moose Lodge.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.
