Born December 22, 1947 in Iowa to Robert F. and Elizabeth “Betty” (Clarke) Clark, she married Gary Dee Holcomb on May 8, 1964 in Pekin. He died March 8, 2021. She was also preceded in death by her mother; one son, Gary Holcomb Jr.; two grandchildren, Kristina Holcomb and Terry Holcomb II.
Surviving are her father, Robert F. Clark of Astoria; one son, Terry Holcomb of Pekin; one grandson, Gary Holcomb of Xenia, Ohio; seven great-grandchildren; one sister Carla (John) Berry of Astoria; two brother-in-laws, Harvey Holcomb Sr. of Peoria, Mike Holcomb of Pekin; one sister-in-law, Lilyan Chapman of Pekin and many nieces and nephews.
Lola spent many years over the road trucking with her husband as team drivers and several years on her own. She retired after over 20 years.
She spent her time fishing, hunting and camping. She loved her grandchildren and spending time with them. Lola will be remembered for her kindness and ability to share joy and make others happy.
Her memorial visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, May 14, 2021 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.
