M. Katherine Heberer

Born April 20, 1938 in Peoria to Stanley and Henrietta (Albers) Blackburn, she married Gerald Heberer on Apr.21, 1956 in Pekin.

Surviving are her husband; 2 daughters, Julie (Tim) Lewis of Pekin and Kathy (Donnie) Buckner of Lake Stevens, Wash.; 1 son, Dave (Jody) Heberer of Manito; 4 grandchildren, Jeffrey Willis of Pekin, Seth and Logan Heberer of Manito, and North Buckner of Lake Stevens; and 1 sister, Mavis Brown of Morton.

She was preceded in death by her parents; 1 son, Chuck Heberer; 5 brothers; and 3 sisters.

Katherine last worked for Morton Villa, Ltd. for 11 years, retiring in 2008.

She enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family.

Katherine was a St. Louis Cardinal’s baseball fan.

A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Monday, November 29, 2010 at Super Sports Bar and Grill in South Pekin.  Cremation will be accorded by Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes and Crematory in Pekin.
