

Born April 14, 1945 in Pekin to Marvin and Guyneth (Howell) Neikirk, he married Phyllis McGhee on May 19, 1973 in Secor.
Surviving are his wife; his parents of Forest City; 4 sons, Walter (Beth) Neikirk of Emden, Jeff Neikirk of San Jose, Benjamin Neikirk and Dru (Margie) Neikirk, both of Houston; 8 grandchildren; and 1 sister, Nanciann (Larry) Cedarquist of Pekin.
Marc was a service engineer for Texas Air Systems in Irving for the last 10 years. Previously, he had worked for A.O. Smith Harvestore in Eureka.
He was a member of the Manito Lodge 476, Ancient Free & Accepted Masons of Illinois; Mohammed Temple, Shrine in Bartonville, Scottish Rite Bodies, Valley of Peoria, Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 115 in Washington, the American Diabetes Association, and RSES.
He was also a member of the Webb Chapel Church of Christ in Farmers Branch, Texas, where he was the church diabetes counselor.
His funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 22, 2007at Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin Chapel. The Rev. David Hofer will officiate. Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. Saturday, July 21, 2007at the funeral home. Masonic rites will be accorded at 5 p.m. Burial will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery in Havana.
